Maintaining Your Curls

What’s Better Than A bouncy Curl?

Curly hair is much different than straight, chemically processed hair. Curls require different techniques and tricks to make them last for more than a week.

Maintaining a cold rod set is a skill, is it not? We first want to make sure we are doing our best to preserve the curl. Protecting it from the elements, the bed, and our surroundings. Start by making sure to tie up your hair nightly. I’ve found that pineappling works best. Don’t know what pineappling is, easy…bend over, throwing all of your hair to the top of your head, making sure that all curls are hanging to the front. Then wrap a silk or satin scarf around your head and cover the remaining hair with a bonnet. Now your curls are fully protected and you can sleep as wild or as crazy as you’d like.
